CPS Financial Literacy Outreach (CPS FLO)
At CPS FLO, we believe that everyone deserves to feel in control of their financial future. Our mission is to help end cycles of poverty by delivering engaging financial education programs to lower-income Chicago Public Schools (CPS). We are committed to equipping high school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed financial decisions and positively influence their own economic trajectory.
CPS FLO aims to deliver weekly in-person and Zoom sessions combining financial education presentations with interactive activities, led by trained members. The program also aims to include an annual field day at Northwestern, featuring campus tours, faculty lectures, student panels, and opportunities to expose high schoolers to college life. Open to all Northwestern undergraduates, CPS FLO offers leadership development, corporate interaction experience, and practical application of economic and finance concepts.
General membership is open to all undergraduates at Northwestern. Executive Board elections occur annually each spring.
