Honoring 2025 Nobel Laureate Peter Howitt
Join the Department of Economics on Monday, March 9, 2026 for a special lecture and reception honoring 2025 Nobel Laureate and Northwestern Ph.D. alum, Peter Howitt ('73).
Along with Department of Economics Professor Joel Mokyr, Professor Howitt was one of three recipients of the 2025 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, joint with Philippe Aghion.
Peter Howitt is a Professor Emeritus of Economics at Brown University and received his Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University in 1973.
