About Us

CPS FLO, or Chicago Public Schools Financial Literacy Outreach, is an organization formed by Northwestern University students with the mission to provide financial literacy education to economically disadvantaged high schools in Chicago. Through a seven-session curriculum, we strive to create a supportive environment for learning and growth. We work with schools directly to find a time during the regular school day to teach either in-person or virtually.

CPS FLO was founded in 2023 by Aisa Longnecker '24 who served as the President of the organization during the 2023-24 academic year. The organization has continued to grow since its creation, expanding its network of volunteer tutors and school partners. CPS FLO continues to be an entirely student-run and led organization, with support from the Department of Economics.
