J.D./Ph.D. Combined Degree
The Department of Economics and the School of Law offer an integrated J.D. and Ph.D. degree. Students complete all the requirements listed in this handbook for the Economics Ph.D. in addition to the requirements of the J.D. degree. The combined degree is typically completed over a period of seven years with three years spent at the School of Law. A suggested timeline for the combined degree and consequent modifications to the Economics Ph.D. milestones is contained in a separate supplement to the Economics Ph.D. handbook.
