Advanced Workshop for Central Bankers: Center for International Macroeconomics

This week-long workshop for central bank economists has two primary goals. First, it aims to introduce participants to cutting-edge models and techniques in monetary economics. Second, it seeks to encourage discussions and the exchange of ideas regarding applied monetary policy challenges various central banks face.

The workshop is structured around lectures and hands-on, computer-based assignments. It was held annually between 2004 and 2019, drawing approximately 650 economists from 43 central bank institutions.

The 2024 edition and the upcoming 2025 workshop are hosted in Singapore by the National University of Singapore, in partnership with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
