Martin Eichenbaum
Martin Eichenbaum was featured on the Economics Matters podcast in October 2024. "This podcast covers Marty's career, his principal contributions, but primarily his eye-catching, October 2nd Wall Street Journal column -- Factories Aren't the Future."
Robert Gordon
Robert Gordon was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Gordon was one of three scholars awarded an honoris causa doctorate on November 4, 2024.
Professor Gordon was also featured at 2024 Jeco Conference in Lyon, France.
Walker Hanlon
Walker Hanlon's new book, The Laissez-Faire Experiment, was published by Princeton University Press in September of 2024. "Blending insights from modern economic theory with a wealth of historical evidence, [the book] traces the slow expansion of government intervention across a broad spectrum of government functions in order to understand why and how Britain gave up on laissez-faire."
Charles Manski
Charles Manski's new book, Discourse on Social Planning under Uncertainty, will be published in January 2025 by Cambridge University Press.
Professor Manski was also elected to the Econometric Society Council, making him one of four members of the Council for North America elected for 2025.
Mar Reguant
Mar Reguant was elected as one of the forty-two 2024 Fellows by The Econometric Society.
Molly Schnell
Molly Schnell was featured on the Parent Data podcast. Schnell and host Emily Oster discussed racial disparity in C-section rates, drawing from Schnell's research on medical bias.
Mark Witte
Mark Witte was interviewed by ABC7 Chicago in October 2024 to discuss "How the Economy Dominated the 2024 Presidential Election."
